WHY HOST AN INTIMATE WEDDING DAY

Intimate wedding days typically entail less than 50 guests, a simplified timeline and order of events, and are a much smaller financial investment. But that doesn’t mean there isn’t a significant story to tell. If anything, that story just got a whole lot less convoluted.

There are lots of good reasons a couple might choose to host an intimate wedding rather than a larger party.

  1. Save Money. With a large scale event, you are spending more overall to send invites to all your guests, feed them, even providing a chair for each one of them adds up when you are looking into rentals. A smaller, intimate wedding day is easier on the budget.

  2. Better Conversations. If you’ve cut your guest list to just your closest family and friends, chances are you are only having to talk to and interact with people whom you see on a regular basis or you really care for. People who know you and your partner on a more intimate level and are invested in your relationship. Friends and family you feel comfortable and free to be yourself around. It relieves a lot of pressure to perform and engage in small talk with your mom’s cousins best friend and instead have meaningful, enjoyable interactions with the ones you love most.

  3. Looser Structure. Many wedding days are driven by a strict timeline based on your vendor’s availability. Often the majority of events are jam-packed into just 8 hours, and the couple is rushing from one thing to the next with no time to breathe and take the day in. With intimate wedding days, there are usually fewer events to build into the timeline, allowing for space and time to engage and relax.

WHY HAVE YOUR INTIMATE WEDDING FILMED

Whether you chose to have an intimate wedding day from the start or you had to re-evaluate due to the pandemic, budget, etc., there are probably a lot of people who will not be in attendance that you’d still like to share the day with.

Wedding videography of your intimate wedding, even if it’s just the ceremony, gives you the opportunity to share your day in a far more engaging way than photos alone.

Some couples might choose to have no guests in attendance for their ceremony, which makes capturing it on video all the more important so they can share their vows with friends and family.

A film of your intimate wedding allows those not in attendance to feel like they were there with you, but more than that, it is an heirloom that will continue to serve as a reminder of the greatest investment of your life, your relationship and commitment to each other for many many years.

WHY WE LOVE INTIMATE WEDDINGS

We love intimate wedding days because they strip away a ton of the pressure, distractions and overall hectic energy of a larger wedding celebration, leaving all the room in the world for genuine emotions, tender moments, and opportunities for couples to make the day their own by incorporating in personal touches that resonate with them.

Our central job as videographers is to tell good stories. To tell your story as true to you as possible. We crave the authentic and genuine moments that intimate wedding days are all about, and those moments are worth memorializing in audio and video, not just a still image.
